Animal School Video Inspires Individuality & Acceptance

Individuality:  The quality or character of a person or thing that distinguishes them from others of the same kind.

New Animal School Video13medJust like fingerprints, every person is unique. From birth through adulthood, our strengths, weaknesses, values, goals and dreams combine to make each of us special.

Individualism is something parents, teachers, friends – everyone should embrace and encourage in each child. When adults understand and encourage children to be proud of their uniqueness, they can grow exponentially. Children become more confident, relaxed, happy, creative, and productive. They are better able to learn, grow and develop to their full potential. Think how this could have helped in your own childhood. Consider how it could help a child that you know now.

The Animal School video shares the message of individuality and acceptance. It has stunning photography, soothing music and an uplifting message that will surely touch your heart.

What our customers are saying about this video…

“Thank you for the Animal School Movie. It works great. You have no idea how this came just at the right time and what an impact it could have on a district of 115,000 students.

I think that it effectively made our point. The school is going to work with us to see that our daughter get the accommodations and assistive technology she needs to allow her equal access to curriculum. She has dyslexia and her high-level cognitive writing and comprehension skills were being brought down to her weakest component — decoding.

Thank you — two little words — that mean so much!
Best Wishes” ~ Darla

Wow!! Amazing movie. We had a chance to watch this movie at my son’s school curriculum night. Truly inspirational. It gives insight to “out of the box thinking”. We watch this movie with our son every other day to show how unique he is. It refreshes our stressful mind (of course the busy work mind) every time you watch this movie. Hats off to you for such a wonderful clip. Thank you so much.  ~ Prasanna

I was privileged to be part of an Educational workshop today in which this Animal School video was shown.I was really touched by its contents. I went to this website so that I could share it with my two daughters. We agreed that this is truly an inspirational piece of work.

I will surely share this clip with my colleagues when I return to my school. We need to make teachers as well as parents aware of the uniqueness of our children. We need to encourage them to be the best at what they like rather than forcing them to do it our way. We need to realize that one size does not fit all and that no child should be left behind.

  2. Thank you for shairng this video. The video reminds me that I should appreciate more of the inidividual learning styles of each child and try to bring out the best in the child to help him realise his full potential, which means more hard work for the teacher but the results will surely be more rewarding and worth it in the long run.

  3. This is a very moving and well done video! My only complaint is that “Dr. Owls” is portrayed so negatively, and it would be nice to have a helpful and insightful professional character in the video. As a child psychologist, I do strive not to just “diagnose problems” but help parents and teachers find solutions that make use of each child’s strengths as well as addressing the areas where they are struggling. I know there are some professionals who lack the proper training or are contriibuting to the problem, but there ARE many dedicated professionals out there (psychologists, special education teachers, general education teachers, dyslexia specialists, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, etc.) who do care about the kids and work hard to help them grow and succeed. Believe me, we aren’t in it for the money.

    Cathy,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We are working on an updated version of the video so that Dr. Owl is not so negatively portrayed. We are hoping to release it in early 2014.

Kit and I have both worked in education for many years and while we agree that most Dr. Owls do a great job of helping the child, family and educators, we have also seen our share of “professionals” that are anything but professional. In this, I can see where the original video story writer may have met some of these less than desirable Dr. Owls and therefore wrote the story with a negative slant. But again, we are working on an updated version so that this is changed.
